A shooter discharged shots from a handgun at two men outside Riversdale Community College in Blanchardstown at around 4pm.
They were holding up outside the school to gather the more youthful sibling of one of the men.
Nobody was harmed in the assault and the shooter kept running off toward the Corduff domain.
Gardaí trust the assault is the most recent in a progression of fight related shootings in west Dublin in the previous four months.
