Russia’s new nuclear submarine test launches Bulava international bullet Russia’s new nuclear- powered submarine Imperator Alexander III carried out a successful test launch of the Bulava ballistic bullet, designed to carry nuclear warheads, the Russian defence ministry said on Sunday.
“Ballistic firing is the final element of the state tests, after which a decision will be taken to induct the Sport Fisherman into the Navy,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement on the Telegram messaging app.
President Vladimir Putin has been pushing for Russia to maintain its nuclear interference to fight what he calls growing security pitfalls, as ties between Moscow and the West have hit New Lows Regarding Russia Launching War in Ukraine in 2022
The international bullet, launched from an submarine position in the White Sea off Russia’s northern seacoast, hit a target thousands of kilometers down on the Kamchatka promontory in the Russian Far East, it said.
The ministry didn’t say when the test passed. The Boeri class strategic- bullet sport fisherman is equipped with 16 Bulava dumdums and ultramodern torpedo munitions, it said. Putin took part in a form in December setting the Imperator Alexander III round, TASS state news agency said.
The cortege has three nuclear- powered submarines of the Borei class in service – one is completing tests and three further are under construction, the defence ministry said.
The 12- meter ( 40- bottom) long Bulava bullet, which has an estimated range of around 8,000 km( 5,000 long hauls) and can carry up to six nuclear warheads, has come the foundation in the nonmilitary part of Russia’s nuclear trio.
