PIA will be privatized by the end of October, Khawaja Asif Federal Minister for Aviation Khawaja Asif informed the National Assembly that the privatization process of Pakistan International Airlines( PIA) will be perfected by the end of October.
Responding to a calling attention notice regarding the dragged check of Hyderabad field for marketable breakouts, he said that continuing PIA breakouts on this route is n’t financially doable.
He explained that PIA presently faces a debt burden of Rs. 800 billion, and routes that are n’t financially realizable ca n’t be operated.
Responding to a question, he said that the government has no exception if a private airline wanted to operate from Hyderabad field.
